'Lucifer' Latest News and Updates
The drama series Lucifer premiered in 2016 on FOX and is based on the DC comic series The Sandman. The show follows Lucifer Morningstar, who has willingly abdicated his throne in Hell to run a nightclub in Los Angeles called Lux. Lucifer also teams up with LAPD Detective Chloe Decker to help solve homicides for his own amusement.
Along the way, other biblical characters make cameos in the series including Lucifer's father, God, his brother Amenadiel (an angel), and his former lover, Eve.
In 2018, Lucifer was canceled by FOX after three seasons and was picked up by the streaming platform Netflix for an additional three seasons.
Lucifer Morningstar is a part of the CW Arrowverse, and he appeared in the crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths.
